Path Name: /hp-ux_patches/s700_800/11.X/PHKL_36763
Symptoms:
PHKL_36763:
( SR:8606484736 CR:JAGag37810 )
Specific mmap(2) operations fail due to a system wide limit.
PHKL_32927:
( SR:8606393349 CR:JAGaf53408 )
On Uniprocessor PA machines, the Java (64-bit JVM) process
may hang when returning from a call to a JNI (Java Native
Interface) function.
PHKL_27155:
( SR:8606197772 CR:JAGad66963 )
Enhancement: This product update is a member of a set
needed to enable the PA-8800 processor. The full list of
product updates required for this feature are: PHKL_27154,
PHKL_27155 and PHKL_27156.
Defect Description:
PHKL_36763:
( SR:8606484736 CR:JAGag37810 )
There is a current system wide limit in supporting mmap(2)
calls.
Resolution:
The system wide limit has been raised.
PHKL_32927:
( SR:8606393349 CR:JAGaf53408 )
The 64-bit JVM uses the LDCD instruction for semaphore
implementation. If this instruction causes a page-fault,
the kernel fails to recognize a write fault and the
process takes the same fault repeatedly. This behavior
consumes CPU resources and causes the system to hang.
Resolution:
The kernel was updated so that a page-fault during the
LDCD instruction will be recognized as a write fault.
PHKL_27155:
( SR:8606197772 CR:JAGad66963 )
This product update contains minor enhancements required to
enable the PA-8800 processor.
Resolution:
This product update modifies the TLB data structures to
make optimal use of the PA-8800's larger cache line size.
Enhancement:
No
